You are encouraged to recommend all types of fanworks from all across the fandom, from the films to the comics to the now defunct Legends canon. This is a community for the entire Star Wars fandom and we hope that everyone has a great time here.

Community Guidelines

Be respectful and kind to others within the community. This includes following The Three Laws of Fandom. There will be no ship or character bashing within the community and all disputes should be conducted calmly and politely.
No self-reccing your own fanworks.

Reasons for reccing: This is one of the classic Reylo fanvids that was created after TFA. It’s so good and perfectly captures this sense of the mysterious connection that Rey and Ben have for one another as they’re drawn towards one another by a force they don’t yet understand (that we, the fans, didn’t quite understand yet either). This vid is just so good and a must watch Reylo vid.

Reasons for reccing: This fic perfectly captures the Star Wars universe while also maintaining all of Silent Hill's usual tropes. If you're a fan of horror I'd say it's a good choice.

Creator's Summary: A connected series of fics that place Tatooine at the bright center of the universe, and focus in particular on the lives, beliefs, struggles, world views, and stories of the slave characters. In part an effort to reintroduce the issue of slavery as something central to the narrative and to the characters' conceptions of themselves, as well as an effort to prioritize the stories of non-Jedi, non-Core world characters.

Reasons for reccing: This is a really great little series that delves deep into Tatooine's culture, the culture of slavery--centering it as a struggle in ways that the films didn’t, and mythology that dits nicely into the Star Wars universe while still creating something new and unique. All of the characters are really well written and their struggles are emotional and impactful.

Reasons for reccing: Wow, wow, wow! This is one of my favorite pieces of KOTOR fanart and it's hard for me to explain why. It has this cinematic quality to it and it looks like a cool poster--I’d love to have something like this framed and on my wall. I love how it uses color with the red and black. Simply put, this is an epic art piece depicting the Star Forge, Malak, and Revan and his minions.

Reasons for reccing: These guys are awesome! They’re developing real life lightsabers, or rather proto sabers, which in Legends canon included power backs that powered the lightsaber before the power source was eventually compacted to be included inside the lightsaber hilt. They explain the science very simply and they explore their building process of the sabers in a way that is very exciting and interesting. Their latest plasma saber is in particular really cool and I love the hilt design.

Creator's Summary: A totally self indulgent fanart piece because I’ve been obsessed with the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie. Featuring Kylo Ren, Finn and Rey’s respective props.

Reasons for reccing: The Force Awakens sets up this idea of the past and the trauma it inflicts on the future generations and that theme carries through to varying degrees throughout the sequel trilogy. And I think the way the past affects the future can best be seen in these three characters with Kylo holding onto Vader’s helmet, Finn being a stormtrooper, and Rey carrying around an old Rebel pilot helmet. This is a really great piece that highlights that theme and how it carries through with these three characters.
