The Old Republic: Rescue Mission is a passion project born from the idea of breaking the bounds of achievability. Begun as a small collective of individuals to soon becoming a larger team, we set out with an aim to create some of the best fan-made content ever to be based from the Star Wars Expanded Universe lore. It is an original story featuring Mission Vao and Revan, set between the events of the KOTOR game and Drew Karpyshyn's novel 'Star Wars: The Old Republic: Revan'.

'A thief captured for reasons involving a galactic threat is the target of a rescue attempt by the Republic’s finest, botched by the fallen hero she had served with many years ago.'

Reasons for reccing: The music in this film is really superb and the action sequences are really well choreographed to create really suspenseful and action-packed sequences. The audio sounds a bit off to me and the acting is a bit variable at times with occasional stiltedness, but generally it’s well done for a fanfilm. Where this film truly succeeds is with its characterization of Revan. He’s a truly menacing and powerful figure. The film does a great job of portraying his philosophy of the Force and the way he tends to walk both pasts by using the dark side to justify extreme actions. And the actor for Revan is phenomenal!

Reasons for reccing: This is a delightful fic that explores Mission’s dynamic aboard the ship and her relationship with Bastila Shan and Carth Onasi. It’s a really fun fic with a lot of humor and heart and the characterization of these characters is phenomenal.

On the way, Revan must confront more of his lost past and the two of them must recognize the necessity of either acting on the feelings that brought them both back from the brink of the Dark Side or leaving the past behind them forever.

Reasons for reccing: This is just a really lovely fic that perfectly captures everything I love about this pairing and it offers a really lovely sequel to them by showing us how they come to terms with their feelings and emotions immediately after the game.
